PLANO, Texas -- The Best Stuff on Earth keeps getting better. Snapple Green Tea was awarded first place in the Ready-to-Drink-Flavored Green Tea category at the North American Tea Championship™ held this May by World Tea Media. Snapple Sweet Tea was also recognized as the second place winner in the Ready-to-Drink-Sweetened Black Tea category.

The North American Tea Championship™ is an independent competition, judged by professional cuppers and foremost retail buyers of tea, to distinguish the highest quality and best tasting teas commercially produced in the North American marketplace. To choose the recipient of the awards, the judging panel assessed more than 130 iced tea submissions through blind organoleptic analysis of five characteristics – flavor, mouthfeel, color, clarity and balance. The ratings were then used to calculate an overall rating on a 100-point scale, and winners were determined by rank.
