Clamato: The Perfect Cocktails to Spice up Your Summer

Summer is in full swing, and with the thermometer climbing toward triple digits, there’s nothing like an ice cold cocktail to help beat the heat. The options are endless … but why not spice it up a bit and add a kick of Clamato. Here are a few refreshing ideas to complement your summer cookout, brunch or a relaxing day by the pool.

Sangrita Michelada

  • 2 oz. sangrita (1oz. orange juice, 1oz. lime juice, 0.5oz. pomegranate grenadine, 5 dashes of hot sauce)
  • 4 oz. of Clamato Preparado
  • 2 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 oz. tequila
  • 6 oz. of beer


In a 16oz. Beer Mug, mix orange juice, lime juice, pomegranate grenadine and hot sauce to prepare sangrita recipe. Add ½ cup of ice. Combine Clamato Preparado, Worcestershire sauce, seasonings, tequila and beer in the order listed above. Stir and garnish with a lime wheel.

Honey Badger Michelada

  • 7 oz. of Clamato Límon
  • 2 tsp honey
  • Several dashes of habanero hot sauce (to liking)
  • 5 oz. of light beer of choice
  • ReaLime Juice
  • Tajin
  • Honey granules


Wet the rim of the glass with ReaLime Juice, then dip into a plate 40:60 mixture of Tajin and honey granules. In a shaker, combine Clamato Límon, honey, and habanero sauce, shaking vigorously to ensure honey is thoroughly mixed in. Pour over a glass with ice a little more than halfway full. Add beer to glass until full. Garnish with a lime wedge.

7UP Michelada

  • Lime and lemon slices and muddle
  • ½ cup of ice
  • 4 dashes of hot sauce to taste
  • 4 dashes of Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • 4 oz. of Clamato
  • 3 oz. of beer
  • 3 oz. of 7UP


In a 16oz. Beer Mug combine lime and lemon slices and muddle. Pour in ½ cup of ice and then add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Clamato, beer and 7UP in the order above. Garnish with a lemon and lime wheel.
