Our hearts go out to all those in Southeast Texas and along the Gulf Coast who’ve been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Our primary focus is on attending to the needs of our approximately 1,000 employees living and working in those affected areas, and we are also supporting relief efforts throughout the region.
We are donating $50,000 to our DPS Employee Relief Fund, a non-profit organization funded primarily by employee contributions to provide financial assistance to DPS employees and family members who experience a disaster or emergency hardship. In addition, we will be matching all employee donations to the Employee Relief Fund dollar-for-dollar through October 31, 2017, and supporting our bottling partners’ employee relief efforts in the affected areas, as well.
We are also making a $100,000 contribution to United Way chapters serving the affected areas, which will help provide for immediate needs as well as assist in the rebuilding efforts in the crucial weeks and months to come. Concurrently, we are coordinating efforts with the Texas Beverage Association and local and state officials to determine how and where we can assist with product donations.
